Founded in 1976 as a Florida Corporation, Transportation Control Systems (TCS) manufactures and furnishes traffic control products in Florida and the Caribbean. Initially, TCS was a distributor for the Crouse Hines Company, located in Syracuse, New York. After several purchases, the original Crouse Hines Company Traffic Control Division became wholly owned by PEEK Traffic, a division of the Quixote Corporation.As a manufacturing distributor, TCS purchases electronics that best suits the customer’s specifications and produces the final product in our facility.

Our company operates out of a 36,000-square-foot building in Tampa, Florida. TCS maintains an average inventory of $1.5 million, which allows us to keep delivery times to the lowest in the traffic control industry. Our staff of 28 people provides all of the services required to produce the final product, from design engineering to production and final testing.

A registered Transportation Engineer assists customers with design solutions and evaluation of coordination timing plans. Our in-house warranty department performs all warranty services, which ensures short turn-around times. Additionally, we provide training on all of our products on site and offer the same program to our customers, at no charge, in their facility.
